It is concluded that the pure Lithium battery power systems cannot completely meet the power/energy requirements of UVAs in special circumstances. Hence, Lithium batteries should be used in combination with other complementary energy sources.
Currently, under the premise that there is no significant breakthrough in the field of Lithium battery technologies, a feasible solution is to select appropriate types of batteries for specific UAV flight missions. For example, UAVs for aerial photography and field patrols require batteries with large energy capacity to ensure the long-time flight.
Lithium ion batteries are common in consumer electronics. They are one of the most popular types of battery for portable electronics, with one of the best energy-to-weight ratios, no memory effect, and a slow loss of charge when not in use.
Wing batteries are designed for stationary applications and are completely maintenance free. Wing accumulators are successfully used for the several applications as UPS Systems, Telecom, Maritime purposes, Alarm systems, Emergency lighting, Golf trolleys and Medical equipment
