Connect the negative terminal of the first panel and the positive terminal of the second panel and connect to the corresponding terminals in solar regulator's input. The solar regulator will detect the panels and start to charge the battery during sunlight. Wiring solar panels in parallel or series doesn't have to be an either/or proposition.
