In general, the performance of solar PV systems will vary according to their configurations. Mostly, the performance is dependent on site location, the PV-specific technology of the PV modules, and the specific type of PV system installation.
Solar panels are the most common components in the solar energy system used in harvesting energy from the sun. Solar batteries are used to store energy in a solar system where they accumulate energy during the day. The charge controller manages the power flow from the solar panels to the connected batteries.
The grouping of these solar cells is done based on the voltage and current requirements. Series and parallel combinations are preferred, where the series combination of two or more PV cells adds up the voltages to a desired value. Similarly, the parallel combination of such series connected PV cells adds up the current levels to a desired level.
