The first stage in battery manufacturing is the fabrication of positive and negative electrodes. The main processes involved are: mixing, coating, calendering, slitting, electrode making (including die cutting and tab welding). The equipment used in this stage are: mixer, coating machine, roller press, slitting machine, electrode making machine.
The goal of the middle-stage process in lithium battery production is to manufacture the cell. Different types of lithium batteries have different technical routes and equipment in the middle-stage process.
The production of a lithium ion battery involves mainly the use of a laminating machine, liquid injection machine, and packaging equipment. The winding process (equipment: winding machine) is used to wind the pole sheet made by the making process or winding die cutting mechanism into the battery cell of a lithium ion battery, primarily used in the production of square and round lithium batteries.
The Li-Ion battery is manufactured by the following process: coating the positive and the negative electrode-active materials on thin metal foils, winding them with a separator between them, inserting the wound electrodes into a battery case, filling with electrolyte, and then sealing the battery case.
